夜光虫について

赤潮の発生した後、よく波打ち際で見られる夜光虫はプランクトンの名前でもあり、波が青く光る現象のことでもある。だから、波が青く光るほうの夜光虫はプランクトンの学名は使わずに bioluminescent という単語を使ってみよう。
