apparition 霊の出現

apparition は幽霊が現れることだが、宗教では聖霊が現れること、特に聖母マリアの出現を指すことが多い。apparition で特に有名なものはフランスのルルドとボスニアのメジュゴリエでの聖母マリアの降臨だ。一言付け加えるが、霊、聖霊、悪霊などは存在しないので、apparition は夢物語であることを心に留めておいてほしい。このような現象は tourist trap であることを忘れてはいけない。0:19 when I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. つらい時、聖母マリアが現れて、心配しなくてもいいとお言葉をかけてくれた。注；ポールの母親の名前も　Mary　なので、母親のことかもしれない。
