神の御業について

英語ではAct of Godかもしれませんが、私の知る限りキリスト教の神にできることはlove, damn, save, bless, know, have, work, beくらいです。God be with you, God bless you, God damn it, God save the Queenなどは文の前のI wishやmayが脱落したと考えればいいでしょう。God loves youについては文法的には間違いはありません。神は唯一の存在だから常に原形動詞を使う、、、と言うのは日本の英語教育界にはびこる悪質なデマです。最後のGod knowsの意味はnobody knows but Godです。1:31 only God knows we might have a crisis and frankly God is not telling us. 債務問題が起きるかは神のみぞ知る処で神は未だに告げられない。
