まったく知らない人よりもせめて顔見知りに、ぜんぜん知らない畑より自分の心得のある分野を、知らない人よりも知っている人に、、、このような独特のニュアンスが出せる言い方はdevil you knowか better the devil you knowです。正しくはbetter the devil you know than the devil you don't.ですが、the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know.（会った事もない天使より顔見知りの悪魔, 馬の骨より顔見知り）という亜流表現もあります。共通している部分のdevil you knowとだけいえば十分に通じます。4:03 it's the devil you know vs. the devil you don't これはいわば知名度の勝負だね。
